There are not many recordings available of songs popular among U.S. soldiers in Cuba and the Philippines. The biggest exception is “A Hit Time in the Old Town Tonight,” the biggest hit of the time, of which many recordings were later made. I have also located one recordings of “The Monkeys Have No Tails in Zamboanga.”
